The deep satisfaction of 'justice porn' videos where a bully is beaten by his intended victim comes not merely from the bully getting what he deserves—an impartial bystander punching the bully would be far less satisfying—but specifically from a would-be victim standing up for themselves and earning self-respect and community respect, the very thing that is lost when conflicts are outsourced to impartial third parties.
