Christianity Uniquely Generated Anti-Slavery Theology

A sincere accounting of the history of slavery and abolition indicates that Christian civilization developed a unique capacity to critique and ultimately eliminate the universal human institution of slavery, an outcome difficult to imagine emerging in a culture lacking the starting point of Christian ethics and the Sermon on the Mount.
