Neuroscience gives correlations, not explanation
Neuroscience provides rich correlations between brain activity and conscious experience, but correlations alone are not a complete theory; to solve the hard problem we must explain why a given brain state is accompanied by a given experience, and the quantitative vocabulary of physical science makes it hard to see how such an explanation could be provided.
