The USSR collapsed from internal rot, not US action

The key lesson of the Soviet collapse is that the USSR fell not because of what the United States did but because it was fundamentally not a workable system, rotten from the inside; therefore crediting Reagan or the US with 'winning' the Cold War gives Americans too much credit.
