Review Systems Are Too Easy to Game

Craigslist deliberately avoided seller-rating and user-review systems because such systems are too easy to game; the better long-term solution is private (non-government) user authentication that lets parties verify identity, possibly via credit card companies, driver's licenses, or phone digital wallets.
