New environments make new habits easier
It is easier to build a new habit in a new environment because existing rooms carry a behavioral bias that unconsciously pulls you toward their usual behaviors (a couch pulls you toward the TV remote), so dedicating a specific space, even just a new chair in the same room, makes the location of the behavior obvious and supports the habit.
