Big Money Is the Gatekeeper of American Politics

Because being a politician requires big money, the background conditions of elections—not just the elections themselves—exclude whole categories of people, both for lack of wherewithal and because anyone with a critique of Wall Street will receive no funding from corporate elites, as illustrated by Bernie Sanders refusing corporate money.
