Calling compatibilism theology was a strategic error

Compatibilism is the opposite of theology: it is an attempt to look at what matters, examine terms and meanings, and recognize that ancient ideology gets in the way of clear thinking, so you cannot just trust tradition and everyday word meanings; characterizing compatibilism as theology was an unwise, deliberate insult that revealed a misunderstanding of what compatibilism is.
