No vested interest exists in proving a lab leak

There is no financial vested interest in COVID being a lab leak — no company, charity or body benefits from that conclusion — whereas an entire international research movement has invested heavily in this risky work and cannot stomach being cast as the cause of the pandemic, so the institutional incentives run entirely against a lab-leak finding.
