No Architecture Can Guarantee Alignment

We cannot imagine an effective alignment scheme or architecture that would assure an AGI remains aligned with human survival, because any intelligent system must explore and play with its environment to gain control of it, and once we become part of its environment nothing prevents it from playing with us as instruments and bypassing any guidelines we set.
