Training Abroad Has Highly Variable Quality

The effectiveness of NATO-country training for Ukrainian troops is uncertain: among Ukrainians Jajcay met who trained abroad, quality varied greatly — some were genuinely well-trained professionals partly as a result, while in others he saw no evidence the training had any effect — though any training is valuable and expanding training opportunities would be beneficial given how little many troops receive before deployment.
