Iranian Dissidents Distrust Israel's Aims

Although Iranian democratic opposition figures were initially delighted when Israel's bombing campaign began, it is now reported that they have come to realize Israel is not their friend—Israel fundamentally does not care whether a democratic successor or chaos follows, wanting only the nukes gone and the regime out—creating a big trust problem that limits both Israeli and American ability to manipulate Iranian politics on the ground.
