QM Interpretation Polls Vary By Conference

Polls of physicists on which quantum interpretation they favor vary wildly depending on which conference the poll is taken at—cosmologists tend to favor many-worlds, atomic and laboratory physicists tend toward operational or epistemic interpretations (treating the quantum state as knowledge not reality), and philosophers favor hidden-variable interpretations—precisely because the field does not seriously think about it and considers it slightly disreputable.
