Two Distinct Roots of Anti-Zionism

Anti-Zionism is causally downstream of anti-Semitism via two distinct species: in the Muslim world it derives from the theological belief that a land once Muslim must always remain Muslim; in the Western left it derives from a deeper conviction that Jews are different and not equal—they may be protected, respected, even admired, but they sit below the top of an ecological ladder and therefore should not have a state of their own and should 'know their place.'
