Water Systems Are Vulnerable to Cyberattack

US critical infrastructure — starting with small water suppliers and sanitation — is highly vulnerable to cyberattack because few suppliers have staff to protect their systems, and new AI tools (with the Chinese military actively working on this) will be effective at shutting down water supplies, making civilian cyber-resilience a national security issue.
