Brain has no modular mental organs

The brain is not organized into discrete object-like parts (an amygdala that 'does' emotion, basal ganglia that 'do' movement, a prefrontal cortex that 'does' rationality); it is better understood as a single dynamically fluctuating network of neurons defined by their relationships and the features they compute, more like shifting weather patterns than batons passed between regions.
