Partisan media issue coordinated memes overnight

Highly partisan media sources generate phrases, arguments, and 'events that everybody now cares about' which crest into public consciousness in an almost droid-like, coordinated way overnight—as if everyone has been issued the same order—and then move on, making it hard for outsiders to understand where they came from.
