Airport Security Analogy for Bio-Defense
Just as the US went from dozens of hijackings per year in the late 1960s (when airlines resisted metal detectors) to zero hijackings in 25 years — not by making hijacking impossible but by making it hard enough that plotters become vulnerable to interception — implementing mandatory DNA screening would greatly lower ambient bio-risk without making attacks impossible.
