Providence Implies God Permits Religious Freedom

If God wanted humanity to live under a Catholic theocracy he would not have allowed the Reformation to happen, so a reasonable believer reading the historical record should infer that God's intentions favor a politics balancing Christian moral conviction with human freedom and avoidance of tyranny.
