A war between Venezuela and Guyana is unlikely despite Venezuela's military buildup and Russian/Iranian/North Korean support; Venezuela is larger than Guyana (which has only ~2,000 soldiers), but Venezuela does not have a capable military; the real issue is that the US will have to rethink its Latin American strategy because State breakdown in Central and South America creates instability that will affect migration, drugs, and US regional security.
