Gerrymandering rig attempt backfired via spine

The administration's first attempt to rig the elections through gerrymandered redistricting backfired because some Republicans (in Indiana and elsewhere) refused to go along and more Democrats than expected showed spine and retaliated—Newsom, Spanberger in Virginia, Moore in Maryland—suggesting the ballot-box intimidation strategy will likewise fail.
