Same-equal vs different-but-equal feminism
The great early triumphs of feminism (the vote, access to office and university) were about being treated exactly the same as men, but the newer phase—claiming women differ in important ways and want to be treated differently but equally—is conceptually harder to defend and is where people have struggled.
