Cheap Scalable Anti-Drone Capability Is Critical

Developing anti-drone capabilities is an underemphasized necessity for future battlefields: every unit will need to destroy drones cheaply and in very large numbers, because current systems using a $50,000 missile to kill a $500 drone (and exhausting the magazine after one shot) cannot cope with the dozens of drones a unit may face within a 20-minute period — the cost of countering drones must be proportional to the drones' cost.
