Cortex serves the limbic system

The human cortex, though much smarter than the primitive limbic system, is largely in service to the limbic system, devoting enormous compute to satisfying limbic drives such as the pursuit of sex, with a massive amount of human and digital compute spent on reproduction-adjacent hedonistic behavior.
