Correction mechanism matters more than never erring
Like science, what matters for journalism is not that you never get anything wrong but what you do when you get it wrong and whether you have a correction mechanism; a free and diverse press where outlets scrutinize each other gets closer to a complete picture of truth, and people no longer seeming to care about that is worrying.
