Lift Every Voice, Not Every Echo

The democratic ideal requires people to think for themselves critically rather than participate in an echo chamber or tribal consensus; pluralism at a high epistemic level, where diverse voices enter public space and are heard through mechanisms of accountability, is essential and avoids both reductionism and sophomoric epistemic relativism.
