Women's biggest threat is an intimate partner

For women the threat profile is different from men's: the biggest threat is a significant other, at least half of all women killed annually in the US are killed by a husband, boyfriend, or partner, and almost every such case involves a history of stalking and the perpetrator not taking no for an answer—making dating dangerous for women.
