Clean Energy Innovation Beats Renewables Focus

The most effective climate lever is promoting clean energy innovation, and within that the neglected areas—carbon capture and storage and nuclear power—deserve more attention than solar and wind, because despite being identified by the IPCC as a large part of the solution, they receive comparatively little funding; the Clean Air Task Force, which lobbies US fossil-fuel regulation and promotes energy innovation, plausibly reduces about a ton of CO2 per dollar.
