Conservancy revenue rose from under $100,000 USD (about 600,000-1 million Namibian dollars) in 1997 to almost 40 million Namibian dollars in 2007, and in the northwest corner of the country per capita income rose more than 30 percent (inflation-corrected) as a result of conservancy activities.
