Reality keeps getting a vote

Pragmatism, basic sanity, and intellectual honesty will eventually win in American politics because reality—economic, epidemiological, or geopolitical—keeps getting a vote; you can delude yourself for partisan or self-serving reasons only for so long before bumping into hard objects, and we are now bumping into them.
