Higher education teaches deconstruction over action

The progressive left's failure at basic governance—enforcing laws, cleaning public spaces, teaching children to read, issuing permits quickly—comes partly from the educations received in institutions of higher learning, where so much time is spent deconstructing everything and understanding the full history of government's failures that people lose the ability to just act and solve basic problems, distracted and scared by all the ways things can go wrong.
