Freedom to Quit Doesn't Ensure Real Freedom

The myth that exploited workers can simply quit and find a better job fails because conditions can be pervasive across an entire industry—for example tipped restaurant servers face such ubiquitous sexual harassment that switching restaurants leaves them equally exposed—so freedom of movement does not deliver freedom, analogous to free migration within a uniformly communist bloc.
