US Is Least Trade-Dependent Major Economy

The United States policed world trade without being nearly as dependent on it as the countries it protected; while 10-20% of US GDP touches imports and exports, roughly half of that is the NAFTA network and about a third of the rest is energy, leaving only about 5% of GDP genuinely exposed to global trade.
