The fundamental questions investors must answer are not about rates, FX moves, or metrics but about structural architecture: who sets rates (independent central bank or politician), what are rates set for, do we have one or multiple interest rates with different priorities, what exchange rate regimes exist, which currencies can be exchanged, whether gold or other assets replace fiat money, and whether money can be transferred across borders.
