Dinosaurs did not exist in space-time as objects independent of observation; there is a deeper reality underlying dinosaur bones and fossils, but the spacetime presentation of 'dinosaurs from 65 million years ago' is a subjective reality of observers, like the green Porsche everyone agrees on in a shared video game.

The limitation of the virtual reality analogy is that while it illustrates how different observers can agree on what they observe without the observed objects existing independently, it doesn't fully explain how different observers can touch the same objects, travel to them, and verify them together.
