Dialectical virtue ethics
Definition
A framework where every virtue or principle exists in dialectical relationship with a complementary but seemingly opposite virtue. Neither should be emphasized to its extreme; wisdom consists of holding them together contextually. Examples: unique calling vs. service to what nobody wants to do; rest vs. action; autonomy vs. interdependence. Each principle can become destructive if treated as absolute.
