Distance Conjecture

Definition

The principle that pushing any parameter to an extreme (large distance in parameter space) always produces a new classical dual description, accompanied by a tower of light states whose mass scales as a power of the parameter, and the dual description is always either decompactifying dimensions or a tower of light strings.
