Genetic Identity Preservation in Grafting
Definition
A model explaining that when a branch is grafted onto a rootstock, the grafted branch retains its full genetic identity and DNA, so it will always produce the same fruit as the source variety, regardless of the rootstock it's grafted onto. The fruit characteristics do not become a hybrid of rootstock and scion but remain entirely determined by the scion's genetics.
