The Master and His Emissary

Definition

A framework in which the right hemisphere (the Master) grasps the whole, contextual, living reality and should govern, while the left hemisphere (the Emissary) is a useful servant for focused procedures; pathology arises when the emissary usurps the master's role and mistakes its limited model for the whole.
