Leadership in both public and private spheres has the advantage of knowing with high confidence what demographic profiles of industrialized societies will look like 10, 15, even 20 years out (barring fertility prediction errors), making demographic trends more forecastable than most other major risks.
India faces a particular demographic concern because despite below-replacement fertility and projected aging, approximately 90% of tested young people in India do not meet international basic skills standards, meaning India will experience population aging without adequate human capital.
