The Three Gorges Dam holds back a ridiculous amount of water such that destroying it would be orders of magnitude worse than the Kakhovka Dam breach in Ukraine from 2023, but discussions of this often ignore how Taiwan would send missiles across all of that distance unmolested by mainland defenses and how gravity dams resist missile strikes.
