Meditation research exploded from 3 to 6000+ studies

When Goleman and Davidson did their dissertations there were only three peer-reviewed articles to cite on meditation, but decades later the field had grown to more than 6,000 papers, of which they used rigorous standards to select about 60, with the explosion driven largely by neuroimaging work.
