The CCP under Xi Jinping represents a 'Borg'-like consensus system where everybody believes what everybody else believes, with a structure disturbing similar to East Bay rationalism and consensus scientific thinking, making it fundamentally different from Islamic fundamentalism and requiring different intellectual tools to critique.
