Block Universe Is Compatible With Passing Time
The 'block universe' label misleads: the four-dimensional spacetime is not a static frozen object sitting in time—rather, time is in it. Endorsing that past, present and future are all equally real does not entail denying that time has a direction or passes; one can accept the first while completely rejecting the (independent) claim that there is no fundamental direction of time.

“to say that the space time is four-dimensional just means that to locate an event in it... i have to give you four numbers... it doesn't say things don't happen it doesn't say things are frozen”
