Being Changed Is Compatible With No Free Will

The 'why argue' objection also rests on the false belief that nothing can change without free will; in fact attempting to change someone, and being changed by their argument, is fully compatible with determinism—you do not choose to change, you are changed, entirely as a function of who you turned out to be going into the experience.
