The fifth and final principle of Zettelkasten is to trust the system and understand that a single note in isolation yields no benefit, but the power emerges in the scale and interconnection of many notes, making Zettelkasten fundamentally different from notebook systems which become increasingly chaotic and less useful as volume grows.
