The banning or aggressive enforcement of restrictions on Chinese student visas to the United States is very mistaken, inappropriate, and counterproductive, as American educational exchanges represent one of the country's greatest soft power assets, and the U.S. has the wherewithal to monitor espionage on its campuses without resorting to blanket restrictions.

“no, I believe in the o our American open door policy in educational exchanges. That's one of our greatest ass soft power assets as a society. Um, and we have the wherewithal to monitor espionage in our society and on our campuses. Um, so, you know, throwing the baby out with the bathwater with that sort of ban, it's knee-jerk. It's it's just really uh unproductive and silly.”
