A Chimp With Human Neurons Would Invent Theology

If you gave a chimp as many neurons as a human with the same cortical-to-limbic distribution, it would inevitably invent theology, philosophy, and aesthetics—an unrecognizable version, but it would pop out automatically—because with enough simple building blocks such complexity emerges, illustrating that even our loftiest cultural products are just emergent consequences of neuron quantity.
