China is still very much playing a home game: its main contingencies are on its immediate periphery relating to sovereignty (especially Taiwan, India, South China Sea), with a huge maritime component; everything except three bases on artificial islands in the South China Sea is based on mainland territory or Hainan Island, giving China a logistical advantage because it's fighting close to its stockpiles.
