A monetary reset does not mean default; it means devaluing the old debt currency so it is repaid with a new currency worth much more in gold terms; old bondholders are not defaulted on, just repaid with devalued currency (similar to currency redenominations in Argentina and other countries).

“well you're still G to have that debt a reset doesn't mean that you that you defaulted on your debt all it means that you're still paying that dollar of debt but with a new dollar that is worth uh from 25 to 15,000 incrementally more than the purchasing power of that debt”
